Ontario's new Violence in the Workplace Amendment can be found HERE. The law comes into effect June 1, 2010.

Alberta's new Occupational Health and Safety Code 2009 has already come into effect since July 1, 2009.

Environment

Ontario's new amalgamated Designated Substances Regulation comes into effect July 1, 2010. A copy of the regulation can be viewed HERE.

New Brownsfield Regulations are coming. Amendments will take place over the next 2 years. A copy of the amendments can be viewed HERE.

The federal governments PCB legislation, SOR/2008-273 requires the phase-out of PCB's and PCB containing equipment. The first phase of PCB decommissioning is to take place by December 31, 2009
